My first memory is of my dad reading to me. As a child, reading was my life. I could transport myself anywhere. I became enthralled with stories, sometimes to the point of obsession.

As I grew older, I began writing as often as I could. I imagined new characters and storylines, and that passion led me to Illinois State University, where I studied Publishing Studies and Creative Writing.

After graduation, I worked at a holistic health center, where I learned more about health, wellness, and working with small businesses.

I then joined the corporate workforce as an account manager for nationally-ranked general contractors. For several years, I put my creativeness on the back burner. Instead of writing stories, I wrote descriptions for new and existing construction projects.

And I was good at it. I excelled at my job, but I wasn't being challenged. I didn't feel as though I made a difference.

I didn't love what I did every day, 7 am to 4 pm, 5 days a week. And that was draining.

I wanted the freedom to choose who I worked with and what projects I wanted to be a part of. I wanted to do something that I LOVED. And I knew I wanted to help people reach their full potential.

So, by pairing my analytical skills with my creative side, I became a virtual assistant, with a focus on content and administrative services.

As a virtual assistant, I use my skills and passions to make a difference. I work with small business owners and help them create balance in their day to day lives.

At the end of the day, I love what I do. And I want you to be able to say the same.

In my free time, you can find me scrapbooking, crafting, reading, camping, traveling, attending live music events, hula hooping, binge-watching new Netflix shows, and taking way too many pictures of my cats.
